EXILE is a 6-member Japanese Pop Music band.

EXILE leader Hiro was originally in the band ZOO , which split up in the early 1990s . ZOO had had a hit with "Choo Choo TRAIN". In 1999 Hiro started a new group J Soul Brothers, which changed its name to '''EXILE''' in 2001 . In November 2003 they remade "Choo Choo TRAIN", which became a huge success in Japan, selling well over a million copies.

  • HIRO (五十嵐広行, ''Hiroyuki Igarashi''), born June 1 , 1969 - Leader of the group. Originally a member of ZOO.

  • MAKIDAI (眞木大輔, ''Daisuke Maki''), born October 10 , 1975 .

  • MATSU (松本利夫, ''Toshio Matsumoto''), born May 27 , 1975.

  • USA (宇佐美吉啓, ''Yoshihiro Usami''), born February 2 , 1977 .



Vocalists

  • ATSUSHI (佐藤篤志, ''Atsushi Satou''), born April 30 , 1980 .

  • SHUN (清木場俊介, ''Shunsuke Kiyokiba''), born January 11 , 1980. He also released his own solo album "Shunsuke Kiyokiba" in 2005.


SHUN has announced on March 29th, 2006 that he will be leaving EXILE to focus on his solo career. What this means for the rest of the group has not yet been confirmed, however.
