It is in Zone 1 of the TransLink integrated Public Transport system. The station is located at the Brisbane Exhibition Ground (RNA Showgrounds), the venue for the Ekka annual state fair. It is only operational during the time of the Ekka (usually held for ten days in August ), for the purposes of conveying passengers to and from the Show. During the remainder of the year the station does not operate. Exhibition Railway station is not your normal QR train station it was also designed for hauling Farm animals into/from the Brisbane Ekka grounds. TRANSLINK BUS ROUTES SERVICING EXHIBITION
