Evolution is a Term with many meanings. For instance, Merriam-Webster lists Biological Evolution as one meaning out of a total of Six . Evolution is not the sole domain of Biology . We have evolutionary Economics , evolution of Language s, evolution of Network s, and many other fields of Science where System s evolve by quasi- Random Generation and Selection of Individual s. The Concept of evolution itself has evolved. In natural languages, economic Innovation , and Physics the term is used in a nonbiological way. There is quite a body of Theory and thought behind this broader scientific view on evolution where biological evolution would be just another case of this broader view on evolution. This broader view does not define evolution in the narrow biological sense of Mutation , random crossover and Natural Selection , because that is not how languages and economic innovations evolve. When people speak of the evolution of a Song for example, they do not think of any kind of random crossover between songs. UNIVERSAL EVOLUTION , also called Geosphere or Physiosphere , where (the progress of) the structure of the organisms is ruled by structure, mechanical laws and coincidence. Stages 6 to 8 are grouped into the Biosphere , where (the progress of) the structure of the organisms is ruled by genetical mechanisms. The actual stage, stage 9, is called the Noosphere , where (the progress of) the structure of human society (socialization) is ruled by psychological, informational and communicative processes.
