EvilEntity, or '''EvilE''', is a discontinued Distribution of GNU/Linux . Its goal was to provide a fun, easy-to-use alternative to Microsoft 's Windows . Up until version 0.2.6, EvilEntity was based on Slackware Linux. The last stable release of the distribution, 0.2.5, was announced on January 23 , 2003 , so only the development release was independent of Slackware. EvilEntity Linux used the Enlightenment window manager. Despite the fact that there were no more stable releases since 0.2.5, a January 25 , 2004 news article was posted on EvilEntity's website, declaring the distribution still alive.
