Jared "Evil Jared Hasselhoff" Hennegan (born March 5 , 1971 in Ringenbrough , Pennsylvania ) is the bassist for the band The Bloodhound Gang . He's been known for his crude humor and his incredible height (6'4"). He is also known to strip naked at many Bloodhound Gang shows. He also likes to wink at men and perform simulated sex acts to them while he is on stage. He attended Temple University in Pennsylvania where he met future Bloodhound Gang member Jimmy Pop (Jared was in Bloodphart at the time). It is widely assumed that Evil Jared was the reason Spanky G left the Bloodhound Gang, an accusation Spanky himself made (and verified by DJ Q-Ball ). All other parties, especially Evil Jared, deny this was the reason (the reason given by Spanky - and by extension, Lupus - was that he wanted to go back to school; the reason from Jim and Lupus was that he wasn't musically consistent; the reason from Evil Jared was that he wanted to spend more time smoking pot), though all parties, including Evil Jared, freely admit his torture of the drummer. It is not known whether this abuse started when both were in the band Bloodphart (which included former Bloodhound Gang member Skip O'Pot2Mus, as well). He plays Schecter basses and Madison amplifiers. In the past, he has used Fernandes basses and SWR amps. He legally changed his last name to Hasselhoff. His mother died of cancer when he was 13 years old. |
