The film is set in a private boarding school in the year 1959 and the Theme is Violence . The film stars Andreas Wilson as Erik, the main character. Other actors include Gustaf Skarsgård , Kjell Bergqvist and Björn Granath . STORY Erik Pontti is a sixteen year old boy who has to face a lot of violence in his life. Both at school, where him and his gang lends money to other students with high interests, resulting in a punching if they don't pay the money back in time, and also the fact that several teachers maltreat students that doesn't behave; and at home, where he has to live with his sadistic father and spoiled little brother. One day, him and his gang are caught stealing records from the stores, and because of the loose kind of loyalty in the gang, Erik gets the entire blame, resulting in his expellation from school. But circumstances lead to that he's allowed to start in a private Boarding School , Stjärnsberg, where he gets a new chance to continue his studies, deciding to try and break away from his earlier violent lifestyle. But Stjärnsberg isn't as nice and friendly as it seemed from the beginning. Erik has to face new kinds of violence in this school, from "higher students" instead of teachers. The system carried on with at this school is called "kamratuppfostran" ("schoolmate raising", a cloaking name for a violent kind of bullying especially cheeky students, to keep discipline and order in school). And Erik, being such a kind of person that won't accept injustices, quickly becomes the main target for this school to retrain to obey orders.
