Evelyn Murphy is an American politician. She was the Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts from 1987 to 1991, and was the first woman in the history of Massachusetts to hold a state wide office. She received a bachelor's degree and PhD from Duke University , and holds a master's degree from Columbia University . |
