During the first '''' film Hunt was an I.M.F. pointman who, after being framed for the murder of his team was forced to go rogue in a quest to find the man who set him up. During this mission, Hunt used information, '' Hunt is once again back with the I.M.F. on a mission to retrieve a deadly virus from a former I.M.F. member. During this mission Hunt had become much more combat-oriented, fighting his battles with martial arts and firearms rather than cerebral tactics. However, the Ethan Hunt in this game bore little resemblance to the one from the film series, and the game was poorly received. Hunt's hobbies include Rock-climbing , which he at times practices in the solo form, using no rope for protection in case of a fall. Little is known publicly of Hunt's upbringing. We do know that his parents owned a farm, and that his father died of illness, after which time an uncle named Donald moved in to help with the farm. Both Hunt's mother and uncle were taken into police custody and charged with smuggling narcotics as part of a C.I.A. strategy to flush Hunt out of hiding in Europe while he was suspected of treason. He once had a passionate relationship with Nyah Nordoff-Hall, a beautiful thief and one-time lover of I.M.F. agent turned criminal, Sean Ambrose, whom he defeated in the climax of ''''. |
