The years thereafter were less successful though. Since a semifinal was introduced in 2004 Estonia has never progressed beyond it. Estonian entries (1) In 1993 Estonia took part in the Eastern-European semifinal in Ljubljana (Slovenia), but it didn't win a ticket to the contest final itself. (2) In 1995 Estonia was not allowed to participate due to a bad result in 1994. (3) Sahlene came shared 3rd in points with the United Kingdom. Based on tie-break rules however this was officially a 4th place as the United Kingdom obtained more high votes. (4) This song participated in the semifinal but didn't qualify.
