Prominent peaks are Krottenkopf (2086 m), Bischof (2033 m), Hohe Kisten (1922 m), der Hohe Fricken (1940 m). Standing few kilometer away is Simetsberg (1.836 m). The range is of Limestone . Treeline is around 1700 m. As only the peak Wank (1779 m) is accessible by Cable Car , and most tourist and mountaineers are attracted to nearby higher ranges Wetterstein , Karwendel and to highest peak of Germany Zugspitze , ''Estergebirge'' stays relatively calm, with the exception of Wank.
