Episcopal High School is a co-educational private school in Bellaire , Texas , United States . The high school is located in an "island city" partially surrounded by the city of Houston . The school is a part of the Independent Schools Association Of The Southwest and the Southwest Preparatory Conference . The school is also part of the Episcopal Diocese Of Texas . Episcopal High School sits on the site of the former Marion High School, a storied Catholic girls' school that closed its doors in the 1970s. SCHOOL UNIFORM Episcopal High School students are required to wear school uniforms. Uniform shirts are purchased from Lands' End and have the "EHS" logo on them. Oxford Shirt s may be white or blue. Boys' oxfords are listed on page 14 of the Lands End catalogue while girls' oxfords are listed on page 27 (B and C) of the catalogue. Polo Shirt s may be maize, white, chambray blue, red, cobalt, burgundy, evergreen, classic navy, or pink. The shirts are listed on pages 5 through 7 of the Lands End catalogue. Uniform trousers are also purchased from Lands' End. Trousers may be pleated or classic front chino pants or chino shorts. They may be khaki, gray, classic navy, or black. Boys' trousers are listed on pages 11 through 12 of the catalogue. Girls' trousers are listed on page 29 (B, C, E, F) and may not have cords. Girls' shorts are listed on page 30 (C only). Girls may wear pleated skirts. Skirts may be purchased from Lands End or Parker School Uniforms. Lands' End skirts must be black, khaki, or classic navy. On some days (Honors Chapel, Founders Day, Grandparents Day, Advent Chapel, Maundy Thursday, Senior Chapel, and Honors Awards Chapel), students must wear the formal uniform. The formal uniform consists of the standard EHS oxford shirt, a navy blazer which can be purchased from any store, and the standard trousers or skirt (no shorts). Footwear during formal day must be leather closed-toe and closed heel shoes. Girls have the option to not wear socks or hose during formal days only.
