Epaphus was a good friend with Phaeton , actually they looked similar in appearance. One day Epaphus joked upon Phaeton 's heraldry, which prompted him to undertake his fateful journey in his father Phoebus ' chariot of the sun. Epaphus had a bad destiny, the Titans ate him alive (like they also did to Dionysus ). According to Prometheus Bound (verses 593-906) the thirteenth descendant of Epaphos will unleash Prometheus . The greek word "Epaphi" means contact or link. |
