Belbeis Airport was chosen to be the new headquarter for the Highschool for flying after the withdrawel of the British Forces. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND The establishment of the . The cadets of the first school were Army , police and non-commissioned officers who were medically fit for flying. Until Almaza Airport, that was used in a civilian, military and international affairs, had become no longer suitable for training. The Flying Academy was formed by five wings as follows: Flying Wing, '''Science Wing''', '''Technical Wing''', '''Cadets Wing''' and the '''Administration Wing'''. The first law to establish the academy was issued in 1951 under the number of 6A. By the beginning of the 1952 Revolution , the Academy was renovated from 1954-1961. The Air Academy was inaugurated on July 24 , 1960 including two new branches: Air Navigation branch, '''Military science''' , '''Administration branch''' in order to graduate officers in different specialties that the Air Force needs.
