CRITICISM Many believe that the Gablers are trying to promote their fundamentalist views by influencing the removal of ones that go against their views. They have influenced many people in textbook Censorship such as many in their home state of Texas and a notable incident in Kanawha County, West Virginia which broke into full-blown violence after the books were sent to Gablers who gave their review which in turn lead to the conflict. THE DEATH OF MEL GABLER Mel Gabler died on December 19 , 2004 , after falling and hitting his head two days earlier.
