Easton in Gordano is a village in North Somerset . It is situated at the north-eastern end of the Gordano valley, on the south bank of the Avon , opposite Avonmouth and adjacent to the village of Pill . Its church is dedicated to St. George . There are no shops, schools or any other facilities in Easton-in-Gordano other than the church and the church hall with its scout hut behind. The main facilities are in the village of Pill. Easton in Gordano is the birthplace of the explorer Bertram Thomas . It is celebrated in the song of the same name, by The Wurzels . |
