It is on the southern edge of Ilkley Moor, one of the most prosperous towns in Yorkshire . It is a small village with a Post Office, General Store and a Public House. The church, St. Luke's, dates back to only 1851, when it was conscecrated for worship. The parish of Morton was formally created by an act of Parliament in 1846. The village expanded from 2001 with the building of new housing developments both within the village and just beyond. |
