In Role-playing Game s, a druid is a Character that uses nature-based Magical abilities ( Divine Spellcaster ). They generally have goals involving protecting nature from undue civilized intrusion. The specific abilities of druids depend on the specific game system, but most contain the components of healing, talking to animals, and transforming themselves into animal shapes. In Fire Emblem a druid uses dark, or elder, magic. They are the upgraded form of a Shaman class unit. In Fire Emblem a special type of druid called a dark druid appears as the second-to-last boss. He is capable of using light, dark, anima (nature) magic as well as staves. Other computer games that use druid character classes include: Dark Age Of Camelot , Diablo II , EverQuest , Neverwinter Nights and Tibia . THE DRUID IN WORLD OF WARCRAFT See Also: Druid (World of Warcraft) In World Of Warcraft , only Night Elves and Tauren can become druids. As they progress in level, they can shape-shift into different animal forms such as a cat or a bear. They are also versatile spellcasters, having some offensive and healing magic. THE DRUID IN DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS See Also: Druid (Dungeons & Dragons) Druids in Dungeons & Dragons are spellcasters of neutral Alignment , who gain divine magic from being at one with nature. Unlike Cleric s, druids do not have special powers against Undead and cannot use metal armour or weaponry. Druids have the unique ability to change into various animal forms. |
