In Anatomy and Neurology , the dorsal root Ganglion (or '''spinal ganglion''') is a nodule on a Dorsal Root that contains cell bodies of Neuron s in Afferent Spinal Nerve s. All of the Axon s in the dorsal root convey Somatosensory information, bringing sensory information into the Brain and Spinal Cord . These neurons are of the Unipolar type, meaning they have only one Projection . The dorsal root ganglia lies along the vertebral columna by your spine. The dorsal root ganglia develop in the embryo from Neural Crest cells.
