Divine Brown (born '''Estella Marie Thompson''', 9 August 1969 ) is an American Prostitute who gained considerable public recognition in 1995 when Hugh Grant , a British actor, was caught receiving Oral Sex from her in a car on Hollywood 's Sunset Boulevard . (She is not to be confused with the Canadian music performer, Divine Brown .) Both Brown and Grant were arrested, and considerable damage was done to Grant's public image.
