Commonly known as "Mega-Ten" by fans, this game is based upon a Japanese horror novel of the same name (minus the "Megami Tensei" part), and dedicates a large part of the game to dungeon crawling. This game also focuses very heavily on demons, which have gone on to become a trademark of the series. This game was later followed by a sequel, and then by the follow up series (Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga in the U.S.). This game has never been released outside Japan in any form, though several roms have been translated into english. |
