ACADEMICS It is the only school in Scottsdale to have the International Baccalaureate Program. The IB program is highly acclaimed throughout the world for not only its rigorous academic curriculum, but also the caliber of students that the program turns out. The class of '06 has 16 students who earned status of being a National Merit Semifinalist, with 15 of them being IB students. Desert Mountain High School was featured on MTV's My Super Sweet 16 when a student hosted a $300,000 sweet 16 birthday party. <-- not academics. Then we have AP classes. And regular. ew. EXTRACURRICULARS The school offers clubs such as Drama Club, DECA , Mock Trial , Speech and Debate, Disney Club, Fashion Club, Jewish Student Union, Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Robotics Club.
