Information AboutDental Milling Technology |
|
For the first time, the Centrum für Dentale Frästechnologie (Centre for Dental Milling Technology) in Bochum presents revolutionising developments in dental technology. CDF - Bochum thus seizes one of the objectives of the Medica trade fair, which is to convey interdisciplinary information. After decades of manufacturing dental prostheses individually, the most cutting-edge CAD/CAM technology has now found its way into dental craftsmanship and will bring about its fundamental and structural transformation through automation. CDF – Bochum already started to respond to this development very early on and has meanwhile achieved a remarkable standard of excellence in dental milling technology. The model situation is transferred by means of very advanced scanners to an IT construction programme and then cut out of the material block after it has been automatically processed. All dental materials, such as plastic, NEM alloys, bio-titan and zirconium oxide can be processed in this way. Due to its excellent compatibility, white colour and incredible wear resistance dental materials in future are likely to be made of zirconium oxide. In contrast to other systems, this technology allows CDF – Bochum to deliver any size on request, including even 14-unit bridges, made from any of the above-mentioned materials. We see the provision of excellent service and possessing profound specialist knowledge as a matter of course. |
