HISTORY DCET was founded in 1950's by the Panjab University in collaboration with Illinois Institute of Technology. CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES S.O.F.T. S.O.F.T. (short for Student of Food Technology) is an initiatie started by B.E. Food Technology students, Abhishek Soni, Gurasis Singh, Shiva Malhotra and Pawandeep Brar to spread the awareness about the significance of food industry in the common man's health and nutrition in particular and his life as a whole. S.O.F.T. has been targetting and collaborating with the industry for this purpose. The several initiiatives taken by this groups include marketing the indigenous processed food products such as jams, sauces and pickles to the sections of the society which have not been able to buy the more expensive alernatives. Cyanide Cyanide is DCET's Annual Fest. This fest encourages students from all the years to actively take part in organising the fest all by themselves. A gesture of togetherness is displayed during the hosting of the fest as well. This "all students no teachers" fest has become a very dynamic tradition in which the care taker's are the final year students. ALUMNI INDUSTRY INTERFACE |
