This temple is store house of art and architecture. It is a protected World Heritage site under UNESCO. The Vimanam is 85 feet high.The temple have some exquisite stone carvings The 4 temples, at Thanjavur, at Gangai konda Cholapuram, Darasuram and Thribhuvanam were all built by the Cholas between the 10th and 12th Centuries AD and have a lot of similarities. |
