At age fourteen, he entered the royal guards at Versailles . In 1789, he was elected to the Estates General . He spoke on behalf of the royalists and against the French Revolution in the National Assembly. He was involved in the Marquis De Favras conspiracy. In February 1790, Launay left France and worked with other governments, Switzerland among them, until he was murdered (with a Stiletto ) in London in 1812. |
