BIOGRAPHY

The shop was founded by Danny "The Count" Koker and lead fabricator Shannon Aikau in the late 90's. Danny comes from a family of custom-enthusiasts and auto manufacturers from the Great Lakes area. Having spent most of his youth learning from family members and reading about building techniques from legendary builders, The Count soon turned his passion into a working business in Las Vegas. He earned his nickname "The Count", while a popular Horror Host on the television show, Saturday Fright at the Movies. Shannon Aikau is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. His father, Jimmy Aikau (cousin of surfing legend Eddie Aikau ), was a pioneer of island chopper building in the late 60's, early 70's. He learned everything from his father all within the comforts of their own family garage. Growing up with this influence and his love for customization, he decided to take his skills to the mainland. Upon his arrival in Las Vegas, he was introduced to The Count, who at the time was looking for a lead fabricator. The two have since continued to collaborate on everything from custom bikes to hot rods for a diverse client base. Count's Kustoms was born.
