Cougar Hot Springs, also known as Terwilliger Hot Springs . These Geothermal pools are located in the Willamette National Forest in Oregon . Popular among the residents of Eugene, Oregon , the rustic hot springs are $5 per person and $5 per vehicle to visit, clothing is optional, and day-use only. The eight pools cascade down the hillside, and range three to twelve feet across and two to three feet deep. The source is the topmost pool, where the spring flows out of a rock face at approximately 112 degrees Fahrenheit . Although the pool floors are mostly bedrock, some gravel, sand and debris are at the bottom. A park ranger will occasionally check to see if everybody's car fee has been paid for. EXTERNAL LINKS |
