Corinthian Pointe is located outside of the 610 Loop and inside Beltway 8 near Reliant Park . The neighborhood is the largest residential subdivision in Houston that was developed by a non-profit group. The Windsor Village United Methodist Church's Reverend Kirbyjon Caldwell, Pyramid Residential Community Corporation, and Ryland Homes established the community in the 2000s .

The community, which spans 220 acres, will have 462 homes by the end of 2006. The subdivision cost 173 million United States Dollar s to build. About 80% of the subdivision's homes are classified as "affordable" by the City of Houston according to Genora Boykins, the chairwoman of Pyramid Residential Community Corporation. Many of the houses were sold at below-market prices. A Houston ISD elementary school, Jean Hines-Caldwell Elementary School, was built to accompany the neighborhood. The schoolm, named after Kirbyjon Caldwell's mother, opened in fall 2005. The subdivision was zoned to Anderson Elementary School prior to the opening of Hines-Caldwell.

A YMCA and retail outlets are next to the subdivision.

The neighborhood is zoned to Houston ISD schools:
  • Jean Hines-Caldwell Elementary School (once tentively named "Corinthian Pointe Elementary School" before the final name was chosen. The school opened as "Hines-Caldwell".)

  • Dowling Middle School

  • Madison High School
