Beginning on several farm parcels to the west of the city centre in the 1970s , it had grown to several dozen streets by 2000, and continues to grow today into the new "West Community" on the northwest edge of the subdivision. It is surrounded by Highway 58 to the north, Highway 406 to the west, Decew Rd. in the south, Beaverdams Rd. in the southeast and Collier Rd. in the east. The centre of the neighbourhood consists of a large recreational sports park and a church. The community consists of a mix of families, university students and retirees. |
