Computational electromagnetics is the computer science that deals with the numerical solution of Maxwell's Equations . More accurately referred to as ''Computational Electrodynamics''. Most well known are FDTD ( Finite Difference Time Domain ) methods, based on the original Yee Method . Depending on the problem at hand, it may be more appropriate to partly seek the solution in the spectral domain which leads to PSTD ( Pseudo Spectral Time Domain ) methods. Recent advances in the field have led to more sophisticated methods such as the one-step Chebyshev Method which, however, has limitations of their own. |
