The company is interested in Gold and Copper deposits. In 2005, Compass Resources sought approval to begin Cobalt , Nickel and copper mining, as part of the Brown's Oxide Project at Rum Jungle, Northern Territory . The project may lead to reopening Uranium mining in the area and the company has indicated it would be interested in uranium mining in the future. The company is awaiting approval to start mining with a production aim of 10,000 tonnes per annum (tpa) copper and 1,000 tpa cobalt. EXTERNAL LINKS |
