Compass Minerals International () is the second-leading Salt producer in the United States and largest in the United Kingdom . Most of the salt produced is sold for highway de-icing. The company owns world's largest Salt Mine in Goderich, Ontario and ten other production facilities.

The company also sells Sulfate Of Potash (SOP) that is used in special fertilizers for chloride-sensitive and high-value crops such as Wine Grape s, various Nut s and Citrus fruits. Compass Minerals is the largest producer of SOP in the North America.

The company was formerly known as Salt Holdings Corporation and changed its name to Compass Minerals International, Inc. in December 2003 when it got listed on New York Stock Exchange.
