The battles are said to take place in a Colosseum -style area in the Multiversal city of ''Khazan''. Spectators usually watch from the stands(except for the time when a competition between Buffy Summers , Blade , and Vampire Hunter D was infiltrated by half an arena-full(they ate the other half) of vampires), and the commentators have their special God-Proof Sports Box(TM). In the case of particularly powerful combatants(Such as matches involving Saiyans or Kryptonians) will also utilize the God-Proof Dome, an extremely durable Force Field . CBUB's mascot is Callisto . DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CBUB & GRUDGE MATCH However, there are some things to note. For example: Characters that were on both sites Characters like Yoda and Homer Simpson won in Grudge Match. But in a surprise, both of them lost their matches in the CBUB. Homer Simpson lost to Al Bundy and received one-third of Al's votes (He got four times as many against Norm Peterson ). Yoda was in three matches, and lost all three. In Grudge Match, however, he became the "Uber Champion." Fight Syles Unlike Grudge Match, which focuses on celebrity and pop culture, CBUB focuses on Comic Book and Anime themed matches. Comicbook Rumbles CBUB is also the former home of the Comicbook Rumbles messageboard, where posters participate in debates on which fictional character would beat which. Unlike the CBUB proper, the board has a system of comparing past feats and abilities in order to demonstrate which character would win. Although the CBR is no longer on the CBUB webspace, it still exists in the Comicbook Resources website as part of their forums. It possesses a prolific community of posters and features members of the comic writing community such as Gail Simone as posters. PROBLEMS WITH THE CBUB The CBUB has had more than its fair share of problems. According to Grudge Match's page after shutting down, it said the CBUB "retired more times than we have". Superman vs. Son Goku A match between Superhero icon Superman and Dragon Ball 's Son Goku Goku was declared the winner when the sheer number of votes(It had been a hot topic among the ''Comic Book Rumbles'' board for a very long time) broke the counter. The Incredibles vs. Fantastic Four An infamous incident involved a three-month period in a certain fight between The Incredibles and the Fantastic Four . Critics, even the longtime fans, were a little annoyed on the wait. Another problematically long wait was the match Boba Fett vs. The Punisher .
