Comanche Camp is a camp located within the Boy Scouts Of America 's Philmont Scout Ranch , a backpacking reservation in northern New Mexico . Comanche Camp should not be confused with Commanche Peak camp. A stream-side camp with plenty of water (and often time, mosquitoes), this unstaffed camp is usually a welcome overnight stop on treks heading up and over Mount Phillips or Comanche Peak.
