The Columbia Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation designs and builds light General Aviation Aircraft . Originally '''The Lancair Company''', Columbia Aircraft was spun off from that company and later renamed in July 2005 . Columbia manufactures production aircraft derived from the earlier Lancair Homebuilt Aircraft designs.
