Claire is the daughter of
Frank Butcher . She lives in
Manchester and was only seen twice in
Walford , in
1989 and
2002 . She is married and has children but neither her husband or her children have ever been seen.
She first appeared in
1989 for her father
Frank Butcher 's wedding to
Pat Wicks and then left soon after.
In Manchester, she was looking after her youngest sister
Janine for most of Janine's childhood until Janine came to Walford to live with Frank. After Frank abandoned Janine and left Walford in 1996, Janine started to become hostile towards her step-mother Pat so she was once again sent to Manchester with Claire.
Janine returned to Walford in
1999 and over the years she started going out of control.
Clare returned briefly in
2002 when she discovered that Janine had got into
Drugs and
Prostitution . Shocked that Janine had stooped so low, Clare left again only a few days later abandoning Janine.
