Christopher Brocklebank-fowler




Brocklebank-Fowler enterred Parliament as a Conservative MP in the 1970 General Election , representing the King's Lynn constituency. In 1974, this seat was abolished and from there on he represented the Norfolk North West seat.

In 1981 , he defected to the SDP, but in the 1983 General Election he lost the seat back to the Conservatives by a majority of about 3,000. He contested the seat again in the 1987 General Election , but lost by a much wider margain.

After the merger with the Liberals to form the Liberal Democrats , he then contested the Norfolk South constituency in the 1992 General Election but was once again second.
