To be a Christian Atheist is exactly what the words indicate, a Christian who does not accept the proposition that God need exist. From this angle the myths, texts, traditions, and communities of christianity are known to embody a vital and transformative even salvific narrative in real life. A literary expession of this point of view was expressed in Ben Steiners' radio play "A Brief Interruption" (promenade productions) which was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in 2003; here God gently made a mockery of the traditional attributes assigned himself in theist tradition whilst asserting the more real value of the statement that God is LOVE.
