In 1979 he received a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute Of Technology . After that he worked for IBM , before becoming president and CEO of Digital Communications Associates , Inc. (DCA). For some time he was the New York Stock Exchange 's youngest listed CEO.
