It is the third television channel created by the IRIB , and was started broadcasting in 1993 . The channel is often referred to as the ''youth channel'', due to it's large amounts of programming dedicated to sports. The channel broadcast major Iranian sport events, mini-series, comedies, and movies (both foreign and domestic). The channel is believed to be the most popular and widely viewed of the major television channels in Iran. POPULAR PROGRAMS
