The Chance-52 was built by Chance Coach, Inc., in Wichita Kansas. Chance Industries Inc., sold the streetcar and bus business, Chance Coach, Inc. to American Capital Strategies in 1998, which rebranded the company Optima Bus Corp.[http://www.optimabus.com/about.php Optima now sells the Opus but that is based on a Wrightbus body.[http://www.wrightbus.com/expotech_product_mid.htm

The Chance RT-52 buses are notable because they were used in the "Wiki Wiki" route at Honolulu International Airport . The first Wiki , called '' WikiWikiWeb '', was named by its programmer, Howard Cunningham , after this line of buses. They also have been purchased by Pace , primarily for use in Niles, Illinois .
