The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) is a Think Tank whose mandate is to deal with issues of International Governance and Economics . It is based in Waterloo , Ontario , Canada . It was founded in 2002 with a donation of $ 30 million from Jim Balsillie , co- CEO of Research In Motion and a matching grant by the Canadian government. It is presently headquartered in the former Seagram Museum in downtown Waterloo. A major project of CIGI is an online research portal called International Governance Leaders and Organizations Online ( IGLOO ) aimed at researchers, academics, policy practitioners and interested public. It includes, among other features, a library of research papers and materials, a news centre providing the latest related news and events, and Blog s and discussion communities for its users.
