The Centre Democrats (''Centrum-Demokraterne'' or CD) is a Danish political party. It was formed 1973 by Erhard Jakobsen , a former MP and mayor of Gladsaxe , representing the Danish Social Democrats . The party was represented in the Danish Parliament ('' Folketinget '') until 2001.

In the 2001 elections it lost its parliamentary representation, a severe set-back for the party. In the 2005 elections it got 33,635 votes (1% of votes nationwide). It also ran in several municipalities in the Danish municipal election in November 2005. It ran as well in the simultaneous elections to the new Regional Councils, except in Region Midtjylland where a local party official forgot to hand in the required number of voters' signatures before the deadline closed. {Link without Title} .

Currently (Feb. 2006), the party holds no seats at any political level.

Party Leader: Mr. Bjarne Møgelhøj , former president of the FDB (now part of COOP Norden ) chain of supermarkets.
