Cartoon is the name of a House Music / nu-jazz act based in Cork in the Republic Of Ireland . The band is a collective consisting of up to 10 members between singers, musicians and producers.

The members are:
  • Bob Jackson (drums, percussion)

  • Darragh O'Connor (keyboards, synth's)

  • Karen Underwood (vocals)

  • Barry Fitzgerald (vocals)

  • Joosep Niimeister (trumpet)

  • John Ahern (lead, rhythm guitar)

  • Gary Baus (alto, soprano saxophone)

  • Patrick Murphy (tenor, soprano saxophone)

  • Eoin Regan (lead guitar)



Cartoon has released music on the Parisian "Brique Rouge" record label, and has performed at the Cork international Jazz Festival and the Oxegen music festival. In April 2006 they released an album containing much of their work to date entitled "Ban The Use Of Jazz Music"
