He puts various displays on each year, first getting permission from both his neighbours and the city each time. The light show runs between 6pm and 10pm each night, with a signpost in the front yard with an FM station number on it, which the audience that gathers can tune into on their radios to complete the experience. This keeps both the noise level down and eliminates the light/sound lag often experienced at concerts. However, on 6 December 2005 , the light display was closed down indefinitely by Carson himself due to immense traffic congestion in his subdivision. It is known that there was a car accident in that area and police were unable to reach the site due to the traffic and thus the shutdown. Carson's Christmas display proved so popular that it was featured in a Miller Lite Beer Commercial in December 2005. EXTERNAL LINKS
