Information About

Canada At The 1972 Summer Olympics

Canada competed at the ''' 1972 Summer Olympics ''' in Munich under the IOC Country Code CAN. It was the sixteenth time that the nation had competed, having missed only the first Olympics in 1896 .

Many felt that Canada's poor performance at the Olympics, which included not winning a gold medal may have the reason that Canada didn't win a gold medal during the next Summer Olympics, the Games Of The XXI Olympiad , in 1976 , which took place within their borders, in Montreal .
