Brooklyn Joseph Beckham (born March 4 , 1999 in Marylebone , London ) is the eldest child of the English Footballer David Beckham and his wife, singer and former Spice Girl , Victoria Beckham . He has born in the private Portland Hospital near Regent's Park and has two younger brothers called '''Romeo James Beckham''' (born 2002 ) also born in Portland Hospital and '''Cruz David Beckham''' (born 2005 ) who was born in Madrid . Brooklyn Beckham is famous in the UK to a degree which is unprecented for a non-royal British child. His parents are the leading British celebrity couple of the 2000s and the media, especially the Tabloids , has chosen to treat him as a celebrity in his own right in a way which has not occurred in the UK before. This can be seen as a significant development in British Celebrity Culture . Trivial aspects of Beckham's childhood, such as the cost of his birthday party, overhead comments he has made, and his father's difficulties helping him with his maths homework, have been given a degree of publicity which would never have occurred in earlier periods. Three humorous fictional volumes of Brooklyn's imaginary diaries have been published: ''Brooklyn Beckham: The Secret Diary'' (2000); ''Brooklyn Beckham: My World'' (2001); and ''Brooklyn Beckham: Learning to Walk'' (2002). |
