Brest Voblast is one of the administrative regions in the Republic of Belarus located in the south-west of Belarus bordering on Poland and Ukraine . Brest , which is located on the Western Bug River , is the capital of this province ( Voblast ). Brest is the Western gateway to Belarus . The province covers an area of 32,300 km&2 and has a population of 1,462,900 (2004 estimate). The sixteen districts of the Brest voblast are:
