Her stage work includes '''' and '' The Pirates Of Penzance ''. She later appeared in the cult British series '' Doctor Who '' as the Doctor's companion Mel . She continues to appear as Mel with both the Sixth Doctor and Seventh Doctor in the '' Doctor Who '' audio adventures produced by Big Finish Productions .

Bonnie was a regular guest (2003-2005) on Sandi Toksvig 's weekday lunchtime show on LBC radio and occasionally deputised when Sandi was ill or on holiday.

She has received a fair amount of abuse over her career, as she has been widely perceived as an overly perky youth. Noel Coward reportedly made the comment, after seeing a play with the young Bonnie Langford in it in which a horse also defecated on the stage, "If they had shoved the child's head up the horse's arse they would have solved two problems at once."

On October 23 , 2005 Bonnie performed in '' Children Will Listen '', a 75th birthday tribute to Stephen Sondheim at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in London and appeared in the Pantomime '' Cinderella '' as Prince Charming at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford during Christmas 2005 and Dick Whittington in the pantomine of the same name the year before.

Bonnie was a celebrity contestant on ITV's '' Dancing On Ice '', which started on January 14 2006 , along with another ex-''Doctor Who'' companion and musical theatre stalwart John Barrowman . Her skating partner was American pair skater and member of the US skating team Matt Evers . They finished 3rd overall and achieved the highest mark from the judges of the whole competition - 28.5 for one of their final routines and the score included 2 sixes, the only sixes seen in the competition. Bonnie's skating routines were characterised by the incredible lifts and tricks she and Matt performed which often showed off Bonnie's flexibility.

While competing on '' Dancing On Ice '', Bonnie appeared as part of a star-studded cast in one of ITV's Agatha Christie's Marple series episodes. It was recently announced that Bonnie will star as Roxy Hart in the musical ''Chicago'' in London's West End in April and is rehearsing for a two woman show she will be touring soon with Sandy Toksvig called ''Short and Curly''.
