Length 16 cm. Weight 23-28 g. Live in Ecuador and Peru . Elevation 100-1800 m. Tend to move into Peru after heavy rains. Occur individually or in small groups, but have been seen in flocks of up to 50 individuals. Forages in thick vegetation. Eats insects and seeds. There is no information pertaining to reproduction.
